URSAPHARM supports the voluntary self-regulation of the pharmaceutical industry
URSAPHARM is a member of the registered society “Pharmaceuticals and Cooperation in the Health Care Sector” (Arzneimittel und Kooperation im Gesundheitswesen e.V., AKG), an association instigated by the German Federal Pharmaceutical Industry Association (Bundesverband der Pharmazeutischen Industrie) and established by pharmaceutical companies in November 2007. In its code of conduct, the AKG sets down binding rules for self-regulation by its members. These are based on the various legal provisions applicable in Germany (Pharmaceuticals Advertising Act, Act Against Unfair Competition, Medicinal Products Act, Regulations on Acceptance of Benefits and Bribery in the German Criminal Code).
